looks great but so "special" for a transporter i would say the mimbari ships are inspired by some "fish" elements mb try to adept something huge from our world like a shark wale try to make it longer at the front and a bit "bigger" at all i mean ther must be much room in a transproter
but just my suggestions looks cool ofc

Just to be clear are we talking about a station carrying TL here or a smaller ship of some kind?

mm i don't think it is that big.

I don't want to make it like the Sharlin or the Neroon. It has to be different because its a ship of the minbari worker caste.

If i make it like a shark whale it would look like the the new valen.

And i think it still looks like a fishy thing.^^

*edit: yes the size of the narntransporter is good.

I like the overall shape, it is nice, though night quite practical for a transporter. I am thinking along the lines of a Minbari tanker, elegant but solid enough to carry thousands of tons so in my eye it should be more bulky. In regards to aesthetics I think you should add some tendrils extending from the fins and have a more ribbed bone like structure as you find in the Sharlin.

Looking at the cargo area, it does not look very practical, how would one load and unload cargo from such a location? Way I see it, cargo would be loaded easier if the ship had a flat bottom to attach Minbari cargo containers or a large docking bay to transport it inside the ship.

Perhaps you may find inspiration for the front for the ship from a squid?

Make is more bulky, and adapt it to your current design.

It is a nice concept, but needs s little more work to be practical and more Minbari like. I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Just for the info the narn transporter(TL) is approx 900m long and the centauri daggair is 1400m long, so this is the range for transporters(TL) class ships. The squid thing might work or a species related to it perhaps?(bit too vorlon then?)

It is hard to describe what i am visualising. It maybe too Vorlon if you include the tentacles, but I wasnt thinking that you should include those. Insted using the rear you already have and the head of the squid as the front of the ship. It would make a sort of hybrid fish-squid looking thing.

It would look Minbari so long as you keep the spirit, a few tendrils, fins, bony ribs running the length. I say just let your muse run riot and pump out a few different designs, what does not work could always be adapted to another race.

Fish based cargo craft do no have to be streamlines AND not thin. Look at the REAL guppy transport:

And thake your cargo ideas from the real thing. Cargo do not carry in streamlined craft.

I bet they only fly that thing in good weather!. Thanks for the pic, man that thing is UGLY. I have to say I'm more minbari than NASA after seeing that. It's on a par with the original Valen i.e. a flying brick.
There are other transporter planes far more elegant than the guppy - the hercules for example. A fairly nice looking aeroplane - uk failed to have armour put on it and hence it's a flying death trap, but elegant just the same.

The point being that transports are generally big and not known for streamlined efficiency.

They carry cargo, the bigger the ship the more cargo the more you can make. --Minbar are no exception.

We certainly agree on one thing, transporters need depth in at least two axis - to carry their cargo. If after doing that you can make it look pretty then it's a bonus

concept: Cargo ships can also be thin and narrow, to attach cargo contains to...

not that design tho, but you get the point.

i think the design looks pretty cool, but it doesnt fit a freighter imo. i agree that a freighter either has to be big and bulky or very fragile with all the containers attached to it.

That is a nice ship, but it looks more like a courier than a cargo because of size.
