Nice picture, I like the direction it is going. Though I would like to mention the ISA has anti-gravity technology, and the station looks like it might have some rotating parts. Also, where do ships dock and the fighter wings deploy from?
I am quite interested in seeing how this station will develop, great work so far.

Nice station so far, looks gigantic. One point though, I wonder what purpose the outer ring has: Considering normal rotation speeds the g-forces would be enormous inside that structure. Wouldn't one want to have zero-g environments when building ships?

Does no one remember the ISA Station in "A Call to Arms"?
It's just an early WIP. The docks and support-structure will come later.

ohh...pretty!
And about the rotation, counter rotation FTW. The inner station can be spinning one direction at one speed, and the outer at another direction, and slower. Thus keeping gravity normal across.
(And no, I don't remember that station, I'll have to find my disc)

Some pics of the original ISA dock destroyed in 'A call to arms';

As you can see a probable rotating station. As there would be a great need for a replcement to restart production on Victory class ships asap, it's likely its successor would also be a rotator. The time taken to re-design and build with arti-grav would take too long. So I think Amras is definately on the right track with the new one. It might just replace the original as it was not very well built in the series, close up shots are not very good.

No Amras, I cant remember that station, it must have only been on screen for a few seconds. Thanks for the screenshot to remind us Savo, I also watched the film again just to see it properly.
The station in the picture looks the same but a little more chunky, especially in the rotation section, it also has a secondary ring inside the first.
At least I now know what it is meant to look like, it is definitely getting there, great work.

Well.. the station Amras is making, although similar, is not exactly the same. The one above is the original and Amras is making mk2, a design he found somewhere on the net. I can't see why he wouldn't mind me showing you, so here is one of the pics of it.

Although it too will need to be adapted for x3....
I'm sure Amras can shed more light on its origin.

No Problem savo.
But i will use the original direction for the support-structure.

Fine, but to get the ship out again it must be pushed back or down. And last time I tried that(with my own centauri yard) I got very mixed results and may yet have to change the station again. But I'm a glutton for punishment, so bring it on .(make it much-much bigger than the largest ship u wish to dock - please!)

Overall, yes. But will a 'player' own a wider primus or a taller sharlin? You have to accomodate all ships M1,M2,TL not just ISA - basically anything smaller than a M0(Vorl @ shadow PK, drakh mother). As it happens if an Excalibur fits with room to spare you may be o.k, cz it's soooo big anyway .
As it is in the last pic it would be impossible as x3 ships cannot reverse in to dock. Best option is to drive in facing forwards and then drop down (or up) on undocking, best guess though..x3 is VERY techy in this area .

mm ok, that could be a problem^^
I will first finish the details and for the support structure we can find a solution at the end.
